RESEARCH IN ORTHOPAEDICS

Supporting local research projects

Large randomised trials in orthopaedics tend to be nationally run and centrally funded.  There is however a large amount of very important research being done here in Liverpool.  This includes biomechanical studies, anatomic studies and evaluation of techniques and implants.  Local researchers often find it difficult to obtain grants to support this research and, as a result, The Frostick Foundation considers this to be one of its key roles.
We are happy to provide funds to buy equipment or laboratory time, pay for investigations, fund research staff and pump prime pilot studies in anticipation of grant applications.
